The African Junior Squash Open is a squash tournament aimed at the top junior squash players from around South Africa and Africa at large. It gives Juniors a chance to play against other top Juniors, and showcasing their abilities to tertiary institutions, coaches, and other interested parties. The African Junior Squash Open aims to build Squash in Africa and bring together the future of squash on the continent- the Juniors.

Named after UCT student, a national school squash champion who, despite bone cancer and losing his leg in an amputation, was a dedicated servant to the club and the sport at UCT. Even after amputation, Grainger would go on court - with an artificial leg - and hit balls to beginners and help them with their technique. This tournament aims to bring top squash players to UCT to promote the sport at the university and continue Keith’s legacy and love for the sport!
